New Slide (Ctrl+M): This tutorial will help you to learn how to insert a new slide in PowerPoint 2016. When you create a new presentation, PowerPoint gives you one default slide that contains a “Title Slide” layout. You can click into the placeholders shown in the title slide. Then type the text you want to appear as the title and subtitle of your presentation. To add another presentation slide, you must then insert a new slide and determine which placeholders appear in it. The slide layout you apply determines which placeholders appear within the new slide. However, you can also change the slide layout to change the placeholders after it is applied. When you click on the New Slide, you can see that there are different types of slide layouts such as Title Slide, Title and Content, Section Header, Two Content, Comparison, Title Only, Blank, content with caption and Picture with caption. So, you can choose a slide up to your need in the presentation. Q: How to insert a New Slide to the current presentation? Select Home tab => Click New Slide => Click a slide that you want to insert to the presentation. So, if you need to change the styles of view for text boxes you may able to use quick styles tool to make it with different architectures. And in MS-PowerPoint 2016, each style uses a unique combination of colours, lines, and other effects to change the shape’s appearance. When you click Quick Styles tool, you can see the styles of view that those are already created and added in the Quick Styles tools to apply easily to the text boxes in order to your needs. And the styles are added in three categories such as Theme Styles, Presets, and Other Theme Fills. How to apply a Preset style to selected text box? Select the text box => Select Home tab => Click Quick Styles tool in the section of drawing => Click a style that you like in the section of Presets. For understanding, look at the screenshot please: Shape Fill: You may have interested to fill the picture or some other effects to the text boxes, so you can use Shape Fill tool in the section of drawing of Home tab. The Shape Fill has got subsequence such as Themes Colours, Standard Colours, No Fill, More Fill Colours, Eyedropper, Picture, Gradient and Texture. Here important to understand about all these subsequences because No Fill is to clear the all filled items in the text box. Q: How to fill a gradient to a selected text box? Select the text box that you want to fill the gradient shape => Select Home tab => Click Shape Fill => Select Gradient => Click a gradient style that you liked one.
