Keyboard
​
A computer keyboard is an input device used to enter characters and functions into the computer system by pressing buttons, or keys. It is the primary device used to enter text. A keyboard typically contains keys for individual letters, numbers and special characters, as well as keys for specific functions. A keyboard is connected to a computer system using a cable or a wireless connection. The Keyboard has upto eight types of keys that those are named such as typewriter keys, computer keys, Numeric keys, function keys, multimedia keys, internet keys, arrow keys and toggle keys but all the keys are not using at all the time. The picture is shown below for an example of a Keyboard.

​As written in the above paragraph, Keyboard has eight types of keys and the all the paragraphs are descriting about the keys and their families below:

Typewriter Keys: Total 51.
Typewriter keys are using to type such as characters, numbers and special marks.
Keys: - Characters: A-Z, Numbers: 0-9, and Special marks: ()”,’.:/]\[?+= , backspace, tap, space bar.
 
Computer Keys: Total 18.
Computer keys are using to handle all the software like OS or applications are installed in the computer. The keys names and functions have given its small description below:
Keys:
Home – This key is being used to bring the cursor to first place at the line/area.
End - This key is being used to take the cursor to last place at the line/area.
Pg up - This key is being used to move to top page in between set of pages.
Pg dn - This key is being used to move to down page in between pages.
Pause/Break - This key is being used to pause/break the text which is running in screen.
Delete - This key is being used to delete the text(behind the cursor in the line)/icon into the location.
Prt scr - This key is being used to capture the screenshot for the present screen.
Shift - This key is being used to shit the characters as needed.
Enter - This key is being used to open an icon or make a new line in the pages.
Mouse right click key - This key is being used to show the right_click popup menu.
Windows key - This key is being used to start the start_menu.
Esc - This key is being used to release the appeared menu on the screen.
Insert - This key is being used to insert the different characters in the applications.
Wake up - This key is being used to wake up the computer, when it's in sleep mode.
Sleep - This key is being used to set the computer to sleep mode.
Power – This key is being used to suddenly turn off the machine.
Alt and CTRL (Control) - These keys are being used to mostly controlling the software works with other keys.

Numeric Keys: Total 17.
Note: The numeric keys are at the end of the right side in a keyboard that those keys are numbers, a toggle and some of the computer keys as well.

Function Keys: Total 12.
Note: Commonly known as "function keys", F1 through F12 may have a variety of different uses or no use at all. Depending on the installed operating system and the software program currently open will change how each of these keys operate. A program is capable of not only using each of the function keys, but also combining the function keys with the ALT or CTRL key, for example, Microsoft Windows users can press ALT + F4 to close the program currently active.
 
Multimedia Keys: Total 07.
Multimedia keys are normally being used to handle the Media players, to be performed as we are needed.
Keys: Play/Pause, Forward, Backward, Increase Volume, Decrease Volume, Mute, Stop.

Internet Keys:
Internet keys are being used to manipulating internet functions in the present web page.
Keys: - Refresh, Back, Mail, Inbox, Sent.

Arrow Keys: Total 04.
Arrow keys are being used to move the cursor point as arrows shown.
Keys: - Left Arrow, Right Arrow, Up Arrow, Down Arrow.
 
Toggle Keys: Total 03.
Toggle keys are being used to switch weather on and off.
Keys: - Caps Lock, Num lock and Scroll Lock. For example, if you are switched on the caps lock key, the symptom is caps yellow led will be turn on and then you are able to type the alphabetic characters as capital.
