What is “Home” category of under the file menu in Access 2016-2019?
Home is showing up something more interesting and it shows the type of database templates which we can use to create databases and use in access. And also, it’s giving us to open up and use as they are already created ones.

​​New: (Ctrl+N)
As listed different type of databases in Access, they all have made to use for different purposes. So here we can create a database using a type of template as per our need. Access templates have built-in tables, queries, forms, and reports that are ready to use. More importantly a choice of templates is the first thing you’ll notice when you start Access, and if you need more template styles, you can search for online.
 
Let me explain how to create a blank database;
Click File menu => Click New => Select a desktop database template and enter a name for your database under File Name => You can either use the default location that Access shows below the File Name box or click the folder icon to pick one => Click Create.

​Open: (Ctrl+O)
Open command is to open a saved database in local disk or a file from different sources such as Cloud-Drive, Shared network computer, from this PC or browse from anywhere. The Open command is interesting tool to use nowadays because when people try to open a saved database from their PC or any other sources such as internet, that there are a lot of different ways to open it. Open tool is not an inserting tool because when user use this tool to open a database that it has already saved, it won’t open into the same database as copy and paste. So, when the user is using this tool must understand about it real functional.

Let me give an example to open a database that it has already been saved in my PC.
 
How to open a saved database from your pc, while you are working in an active database?
Click File menu => Select Open => Click the database that you want to open from the saved database list.
