BIN2DEC function:
I have given here about formula syntax and usage of the BIN2DEC function in Microsoft Excel. Description: Converts a binary number to decimal. Syntax: BIN2DEC(number) The BIN2DEC function syntax has the following arguments: Number Required. The binary number you want to convert. Number cannot contain more than 10 characters (10 bits). The most significant bit of number is the sign bit. The remaining 9 bits are magnitude bits. Negative numbers are represented using two's-complement notation. Remark: If number is not a valid binary number, or if number contains more than 10 characters (10 bits), BIN2DEC returns the #NUM! error value. Q: How to find the decimal number for given binary number “11100”? Type the function as follows in the cell that you would like to get the result in: =BIN2DEC(11100) Note: I have given some other functions below to help you to workout more on converting numbers functional as MS-Excel has been providing them. When you want to execute those functions in Worksheet, you can feel freely follow the way as same as I have given an example for this "BIN2DEC" function in this tutorials. =BIN2OCT( ) =BIN2HEX( ) =OCT2DEC( ) =OCT2BIN( ) =OCT2HEX( ) =HEX2DEC( ) =HEX2BIN( ) =HEX2OCT( ) =DEC2BIN( ) =DEC2OCT( ) =DEC2HEX( ) For more understanding, look at the screenshot please:
